Meet the birds

New to quails and on our way to starting our own hatchery ♡

I was enthusiastic about adopting our first quails, I couldn't keep it a secret! So I wanted to study them and make sure I knew how to raise them myself before jumping on an impulse buy. When I first saw quails in person I was instantly in love. This was the perfect bird for me! I didn't know anything about them so I set off on a journey to figure out what this small bird was and what I needed to know to own some. I wasn't even sure what the bird was named then, and now with chicks on the way I am excited to say we found our best bird match!

The best thing about them are thier eggs! I haven't wanted anything but eggs every day, so I wanted to find a bird that not only layed eggs but could be kept indoors. I have been familiar with quails from old VHS documentaries from the early 90s but other than that this experience is all new to me!
